HOST A DRIVE
01
Choose Items to Collect
Select what items you want to ask for during your drive. We encourage you to think outside of the box and be creative! People experiencing homelessness need a range of essential items including non-perishable food, socks, seasonal clothing, personal hygiene items and much more!

Remember there is a need for all sizes for a variety of ages. If you need ideas on what to collect we are always happy to give you support.
03
Spread the Word
Let your friends, family, office, neighborhood, place of worship, classmates and everyone you meet - know you are hosting a drive to help support LICH! Tell them where, what and who you are collecting for!

We are able to make flyers if you need them. We also have an active Facebook page to share your current drive details to support your efforts!
05
Drop-off Donations
All donations can be brought to the Amityville Community Resource Center at 600 Albany Ave, Suite 2, Amityville, NY 11701.

We are open Monday - Friday 9AM to 5PM. Please contact us if you need to discuss donation drop off times and dates.
02
Secure Drive Location & Date
It's as easy as cleaning our closet and asking 3-5 friends, co-workers and/or family members to do the same! A drive can be one day, a week, a month or even done online.

If you need a flyer or a letter from LICH to have the drive approved at your place of business, please contact us today!

Example drive ideas to host:
Supply our Students (SOS) Drive: Our annual back to school drive that provides thousands of children the tools needed to succeed in school. For this drive only new school supplies and backpacks are accepted.
Winter Drive: Imagine you were going camping in the middle of February with one backpack - what would you need? We need your help to collect new or gently used winter essentials for Long Island's most vulnerable.
Comfort Zone Drive: LICH wants you to get out of your comfort zone by donating those personal items! We are looking for the items that you find most embarrassing to buy - tampons, condoms, pads, wipes!
