Wayne Scallon has been the HMIS Support Specialist and now HMIS Support Supervisor at the Long Island Coalition for the Homeless since October 2013. During that time, he has worked with Long Island agencies on improving their data, preparing for and adjusting to new HUD data standards, developing new protocols for data collection and training agency staff on the use of the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) software. Prior to joining LICH, Wayne spent 13 years working as a metrics development business analyst for Cablevision Systems Corp.
Wayne strongly believes that valid and reliable data, collected and evaluated in an ethical and respectful manner plays a key role in serving the homeless individuals and families in our community and beyond. That belief, and the desire to see an end to homelessness is a driving force in his work.
