Continuum of Care
What is the Continuum of Care?
The Long Island Coalition for the Homeless brings together over 60 nonprofit organizations with the mission to help people on Long Island who are facing homelessness or are homeless.
Each month the members come together to listen to current concerns and opportunities within the nonprofit community. The meetings have a presentation from an agency to educate other professional of their services. Information is given out on upcoming events and openings in housing placements.
As the lead of the Continuum of Care on Long Island, the Coalition's successful coordination of the HUD grant application has resulted in over $10 million in funding each year.
Does your agency want to join the CoC?
Joining the CoC is simple! Have a representative of your agency come to our meetings.
By joining the Continuum you are will gain information, connections, and invaluable resources in the community your agency serves. You do not need to be funded through HUD to join.
